Having a strong and authentic connection with your therapist is one of the greatest predictors of success. Sometimes it can be tough trying to figure out the “right fit”. Learning more about me and how I practice is a good place to start.
I completed my Master's degree in Social Work at Arizona State University. I have worked in both community mental health and private practice as a therapist, program director, and educator. I work with individuals, couples, and groups who are motivated for personal growth and change in their lives.
I am passionate about what I do and truly believe in the power of therapy to effect positive change. I count myself lucky to love my job and feel honored to be allowed into the lives of the individuals and couples who enter my office.
In therapy, I provide support, insight, and practical feedback to help you effectively address your personal life challenges. These include depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction and recovery, stage of life, and interpersonal relationship concerns. With respect and empathy, I tailor my therapeutic approach to your needs and goals, while seeking trust, cooperation, and partnership in order to achieve a productive professional relationship. My therapeutic style uses collaboration, directness, authenticity, and humor to foster a safe connection where risks can be taken and change can emerge.
I utilize evidence-based practices and modalities such as: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing); CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Psychodynamic Psychotherapy; Gottman.
As your therapist, my goal is to help you recognize and become your best self. Together, we will come to a greater understanding of the challenges you face and work towards discovering effective solutions. My focus is to help you gain confidence and develop new skills that will enable you to engage more fully and vibrantly within friendships, relationships, career, and most importantly, yourself.
